Class 1 girls scoop top prize!

Administrator

Well done to Class 1 girls who recently came first in their class in their first ever NI Schools Gymnastics Competition. Emily McNickle and Siobhan Mercelot came joint first in the under 11's novice class, having only started classes at Queen’s Gymnastics Club with Jane Devenny  less than two months ago. The seven-year-old girls impressed the judging panel with a routine choreographed by their coach Jane which included cart wheels, hand stands, bridges, kick- overs and tumbles, set to the tune of Paddington Bear and were all smiles with the loud round of applause at the end. Their smiles were even bigger when, after leading out the competitors in a march around the mat, the head judge said they had come joint first and handed them their gold medals, both of which now have pride of place in their bedrooms.
