Welcome back to school and here comes the snow! Everyone returned to school with stories to share after a two-week winter break. Just when things began to settle, the snow arrived. Unfortunately, it didn’t stay for long and we are still waiting for our recently created ice sun catchers to freeze over.

Have you thought about learning a new skill - how about copper smithing or learning to transform fleece to fabric? We are pleased to partner with Elements Forest and Garden School to provide classes in the New Year. Please see the flyers for more details on the courses and how to book.

St Nicholas paid a visit to school today, much to the delight of our younger pupils. It is a special time of year as we celebrate the second light of Advent. With two beautiful Christmas trees adorning our school and a handmade advent wreath at the entrance, we are nearly ready for the big day!

The PFA launch their best raffle ever! Thanks to all the businesses who answered our call for donations.

More than 100 adults and children came together for a celebration of Diwali and Michaelmas on Friday, November 12th at the school. Wonderful food was cooked by our in-house curry specialists which was all made from scratch and delicious. The money raised will be donated to the school in due course and preparation will now ramp up for our next event - the Advent Fair on December 12th.

Cross Country Club at Holywood Steiner School - come along, get fit(ter) with your school friends and enjoy a new sport along the way. It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of former pupil, Danny Irving. Danny, along with several members of his family, contributed greatly to the life of the school in the 1980s and 1990s. He remained a supporter of the school and enjoyed the connections he made as a pupil. For details of his memorial service, see here.

Holywood Steiner School Limited, a charity registered with the Charity Commission for NI, will be holding its AGM on Tuesday, November 2nd at 7pm in Galloway Hall.

Following on from a very successful AGM on Sept. 30th, a new committee was elected to lead the charge for the PFA. Full details can be viewed HERE.

We celebrated our first festival of the school year last Thursday and Friday with the whole school enjoying a range of activities in honour of Michaelmas.

We would like to invite all parents/carers and supporters of the school to attend the AGM on Thursday, Sept 30th at 7pm via Zoom. For more details, check our dedicated PFA page.

We would like to welcome all our current families and supporters to join us in our first Grounds’ Day of 2021/22. Undertake some light gardening and maintenance with guidance from a team leader to help maintain our beautiful campus. Refreshments supplied!

The whole school assembled on our first morning back after summer holidays. The sun shone as Peter welcomed everyone, in particular our 10 new pupils. In time honoured tradition, the Class 9 pupils presented posies to the little Class 1s and led them into class at the end of proceedings.

We are very excited about our new Parent and Child Group called “Wildflowers” commencing in September. You will experience a warm and nurturing environment and a big welcome extended to everyone who comes along.
